"It's an album that we will try to launch very soon, with some invited guests. Everybody is curious, but we can't say much about that, because we haven't finished. They are not Mexican songs, neither traditional songs to Il Divo but many ways to record them. Il Divo has many keen, each of the four has different colors, arrangements, voices and many ways to sing a single song and this is what we'll show" explains David.
The quartet of Urs, Sebastian, Carlos and David will also offer a series of concerts in the country (yesterday Monterrey, Guadalajara, Puebla and the DF the days 7 and 8) as part of its tour “Il Divo & Orchestra”.
"It's going to be a show with 30 musicians. What we are trying in this show is to be closer to the public, they are going to be the songs of always, as well as from the last album, Wicked Game, for almost two hours, with video screens, at the style of Il Divo and orchestra", says Carlos.
After almost nine years, says Sebastian, the interpreters of "Unbreak my heart" have learned to agree and take decisions between four without damaging the egos.
"Most of the times each decision we make is a product of an agreement, we discuss it. After almost six albums we know each other, what we like and what not, we also have the experience".
And the experience has taught them also to make mistakes, know and letting themselves be surprised each time they enter the recording studio, explains Urs.
"It always happens when you are recording, you don't know what will work and what do not; sometimes you get surprises. You go to the recording studio and each one opines: the song is not adequate, this arrangement is not ideal, maybe this, or sometimes you go to the recording studio and the environment is ideal. "It happened with the previous album, The Promise, with 'Adagio' I said: I hate that, it's not going to work; now I think is one of the best things we've done", says the swiss singer, who was surprised with a Mexican dish that was offered in the UK.
"I was served grasshoppers; I was told that it was a mexican specialty and I said: 'I'm sorry, I can't'; I feel that the insects are looking at me" he says laughing.
RESPECTFUL FANS.
The singers, who discarded by now undertake projects as solo singers, ensure that they handled without problem the fame issue.
"As we are four very normal guys with our feet on the ground, we know that is part of the music business, but the fame is like a wheel of fortune, equal rises than low. We are aware of that. And if a person believes in his fame, it's silly; it's a job as any other", explains Carlos, of Spanish origin.
Even, adds Sebastian (France), the fans respect the limits, which helps to bring their career without problems.
"Sometimes happens (that invade spaces), but fans know the life of each of us and they are respectful of our privacy, we handle it perfectly", says Sebastian, who already tasted the mezcal in this visit to the country.
After passing through Mexico, the group that made the crossover from opera to the pop will continue its tour in the United States and Canada, and then travel to Eastern Europe, to countries where they had sung before.
