Exclusive interview with Sebastien Izambard
Besides having a great voice, excellent taste in clothing and being very handsome, Sébastien Izambard is father of three and a faithful husband: what a wonderful combination! The Frenchman is one of the four members of the group Il Divo who've built great success and have already released six albums during their career. As part of their Il Divo & Orchestra In Concert World Tour, the goup will visit our country this month for two dates (the 4th in the Arena VFG in Guadalajara and the 7th in the Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City). The singer liked the opportunity to chat with CARAS and tell us how much he likes our country and how emotional it is for him to tread Mexican soil.
"I admire Luis Miguel a lot, I think his voice is very close to Frank Sinatra (begins to sing "Solamente una vez"). We should do something together, it would be great to be on the same stage with him", says Sébastien. "It's very emotional for us to sing in Mexico, because we haven't been here for a long time. I remeber the last time I was here, I was really impressed with its beautiful women; though I shouldn't say this because I'm married (laughs)", confesses the singer, who also went to Cancun as a tourist with his wife and kids and swears he wants to return.
They have changed a couple of things in the show they will be doing compared to the other concerts they have already given acorss the world. "There will be many suprises that I won't reveal just yet because I don't want to spoil the magic but we will sing songs form our new album, and also our greatest successes. It ill be an incredible show and we will play a lot with our voices to surprise our Mexican audiences", Sébastien says.
Il Divo is made up out of four voices with different nationalities: Sébastien was born in France, Carlos Marin is Spaniard, David Miller is American and Ur Buhler hails from neutral Switzerland. Each one has a gift in the form of their own special tone fo voice and the combination of the four of them is a delight to any ear, especially when they sing classical songs or popular ones.
"We will put our heart in this tour, because we don't want to let our fans down, we want them to be proud of Il Divo", he concludes.
